About This Spot

Walking into Conroy's Public House is like stepping into a warm European corner where time slows just enough to settle in comfortably. Nestled in Westwood, this Irish pub blends the charm of an old-world gathering spot with the approachable vibe of a local favorite. The muted lighting, dark wood accents, and familiar hum of friendly conversations create a setting that invites you to linger — whether you're catching up with friends or seeking a quiet moment away from the day's rush.

The rhythm here is easygoing yet lively in just the right measure. There’s an undeniable authenticity in how the space welcomes you, feeling neither staged nor hurried. It’s a place where the bartender knows your name or at least remembers your favorite drink, and where the menu becomes an extension of those approachable exchanges rather than a list to scurry through.

Dining at Conroy's is a journey through hearty, thoughtfully crafted dishes rooted in Irish tradition but thoughtfully adapted to modern tastes. From the satisfying crisp of fish and chips to the comfort of a perfectly seasoned cottage pie, each plate carries a sense of home-cooked care without pretense. The kitchen’s attention to detail shines through in everyday favorites — a pint of Guinness poured just so, a tender salmon with subtle smoky notes, or the delight of a warm cinnamon roll that feels like a small celebration.

This isn’t a place that rushes you toward the check; instead, it encourages slow enjoyment. Sharing a meal might find you debating the merits of the blackened chicken pasta or savoring the layers of a classic Reuben, each bite connecting you to a moment shared. The ample portions and thoughtfully paired sides speak to a generosity that seems to extend beyond the kitchen and into the room itself.

Conroy’s exudes a quiet confidence, anchored by its genuine hospitality. The staff strikes a balance between friendly attentiveness and giving space, fostering a welcoming atmosphere that newcomers and regulars alike appreciate. It’s not flashy or gimmicky; it simply honors the spirit of an Irish public house — a gathering place to unwind, enjoy good food and drink, and feel a subtle warmth from everyone around.

The Scotch Egg was fantastic, though the dressing on the side salad was a bit tangy for my personal taste, but that didn't take anything away from the Egg. The Club was--thank goodness--a real, traditional Club with just the perfect ratio of mayonnaise. The Tots were perfectly crispy, not soggy at all. Another at our table had the Fisherman's Pie, which proved to be another delight. The kitchen is truly scratch. The service was attentive and informative. Game Day made the space a little loud and tough to have a conversation. Definitely will be added to the roster of regular sites in KC.

This place has great atmosphere! Old European pub charm — very inviting. I was hungry so I ordered the cobb salad, because the bartender said it was enormous and very popular. It was truly enormous! I can always put down a good cobb salad, but I had to take a third of it home to eat later. Would recommend. Five out of five stars!

OK, this was my first stop at one of these Conroy’s. I’ve seen them around town and finally was in the area and able to eat dinner here. I ordered the baked potato and added all the toppings, including the chili. my sister ordered a naked burger, and we shared some appetizers. Everything was good and the atmosphere was nice. I would definitely come back.

My husband and I celebrated his birthday with lunch at Conroy's this past week, and we had a delightful meal! Katelyn B was our server, and was friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable about the menu. She gave us good recommendations regarding food items. My husband had the Reuben sandwich, and LOVED it. He said the corned beef was extremely lean, juicy and tasty, and the subbing of caramelized onions for sauerkraut was a novel, delicious twist. The fries on the side were excellent as well. I had the cottage pie, and it was an authentic taste of Ireland. The meat was perfectly cooked and seasoned, with a vegetable medley of peas, carrot bits, and corn, and the mashed potato topping was soft and creamy. Again, delicious! Conroy's has a welcoming ambience; the bar is quite small, but the dining room on the other side is open and inviting, with booths and tables to choose from. Memorabilia and photos from Ireland line the walls. It was cool inside on a hot day outside, with large-screen TVs unobtrusively airing sports events. It's a good atmosphere to relax in! We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Conroy's and plan to be back soon!

Great place. Friendly staff. Select choices of all beers and spirits. Great Traditional Irish dishes. Fish and Chips a must. All was great. Bathrooms need some attention. Enjoy both locations, Nall.

Our family ordered dinner to go. We had Steak and Ale Pie, Cottage Pie, Sausage Rolls, and Fried Mushrooms. Everything tasted wonderful and the food was packaged well for the drive home.

This place has a little something for everyone! It is a great place to chat with friends and have a casual outing. This was my friend group's first time here and we plan to be back! We loved the chill vibes and the patio seating options.

Great place for lunch or dinner. We visited the Westwood location. I had Braised Beef with mashed potatoes and grilled zucchini. We also shared a cheese and fruit plate. Delicious!
